About

A project born from the road back to riding

The Twin Bike began as a personal project following hip replacement surgeries and medical advice against conventional bicycle riding because of the increased fall risk.

Most of our riding in Puerto Rico has taken place on the Paseo Lineal del Río Bayamón and, years ago, on quiet residential streets in Dorado.

We have also followed pathway and rail-trail initiatives in Puerto Rico, the United States, and Europe — including visits to Eurobike in Germany and Velo-city in Gdansk. Today, the project focuses on sharing experiences and learning about routes suitable for side-by-side riding.

The Twin Bike

The side-by-side arrangement lets both riders share the same scenery, conversation, and pace. It is not a rigid assembly — the system leans into turns like a conventional bicycle, and each bicycle can rotate independently to handle uneven surfaces.

Each wheel adapts to uneven surfaces

A purpose-developed geometry and linking system

This opens recreational cycling to people who might otherwise not ride a traditional single bicycle.
