Side-by-Side Flexible Twin Bicycles
Shared Experience with Independent Control
After Enid’s hip replacement surgeries, her doctor suggested using a stationary bike to exercise safely and avoid any falls that could damage her implants.
She remembered as a young girl, the feeling of flying like a bird when riding her bike and said that she did not see herself pedaling in front of a wall.
We tested a rigid side-by-side bike but struggled with turns and uneven terrain, it could not lean into turns or articulate over bumps.
In 2014, we developed the first functional Side-by-Side Flexible Twin Bicycle, a safe and enjoyable alternative that let her continue experiencing the joy of biking.
